I met this girl on a train.
She misses her left hand.
She obviously has trouble controlling her touch-screen phone with only one hand.
And her artificial limb looks really…artificial, utterly unnatural.
At first I thought she was just carrying a shop window mannequin arm in her hands for some reason.
Only imagine how many stares she receives a day and appreciate how thick-skinned she must have made herself to be to actually withstand that. Be strong.
